Finding Your Fashion Style
Girls and teens want to look sharp and fashion forward. Fashion trends change every season, but there are certain basic items of girls clothes that everyone wants in their wardrobe. Key pieces can be combined to create many different looks. While denim jeans are a staple in most wardrobes, the style of jeans changes regularly. While low rise jeans with straight legs may have been popular in 2005, within a year or so a high waisted jean with wide legs may be the fashion. While each teen may choose her own style and not care about what is popular, the current trendy styles are what will be found in the stores. To know what is in fashion, either start shopping at your favorite local mall or read fashion magazines.

Girls will tire of their clothes long before they wear out, so pick what you like that fits your budget and don’t worry about durability. Even so, check the label for laundry instructions. One of the nicest things about teen apparel (and of being a teenager in general) is the freedom to experiment. Even the simplest outfit of jeans and a t-shirt can be an expression of the wearer’s personality. Jeans now come in an array of colors. Some have decorative rivets, while others display fancy embroidered designs. Even the way the pockets are arranged can be a decorative element.
A t-shirt can be a plain solid color with a round neck or a v-neck. It can be striped or patterned. It can display a message, either for or against a cause, showing off its manufacturer or just saying something amusing. Thus the t-shirt can be a fashion statement, a personal statement or a political statement – you choose.
But the biggest part of the teen apparel experiment comes through accessories. These can be found in department stores and clothing shops as well as in specialty stores that carry nothing else. When selecting shoes, fit and comfort may be sacrificed to style. This may not be a good tradeoff depending on what activities you plan to pursue while wearing them. Be sure to try on both shoes as most people have one foot that is slightly larger than the other.
Shoes can be made of leather, imitation leather, cloth and other materials. Leather shoes are usually the most expensive, but they last the longest. Before making a big investment in shoes, think about how long you believe they will suit your taste, style and wardrobe and how long you might want to keep wearing them. The handbag or purse is another great accessory. Modern style gurus no longer require matching your purse to your shoes, so go wild. Can We Stave Off The Attack Of Slovenliness?
When it comes to style, there’s a growing phenomenon related to it that illustrates that it might be an endangered species due to the shabby style of dress that’s slowly overwhelming culture along with high style. Can we stave off the attack of slovenliness? Maybe and maybe not. It seems we’re deliberately dressing shabbily, to the point where an eager Salvation Army worker tries to drag us to a halfway house when he sees us, unfortunately.
When did it become a point of derision among a certain class of people — men and women included — to apply ode eau de parfum spray for more reasons than to cover up the smell from not having taken a bath in a week? Perhaps it’s all this ‘get back to one’s roots and the earth’ nonsense, but most people really should want to smell like week-old bear grease, right?
Of course, there’s always an element of rebellion in any younger generation, and the fact is that many people who use cellular phones look upon wearing something like a men’s sport watch as a sign that its wearer has now approached geezer status, if not entered it full-bore. That’s because younger people prefer the look of digging around in a pocket and pulling out a cell phone to tell the time rather than just flipping the wrist and gazing at a watch face.
Why this is so — when having a watch on the wrist is far more convenient — probably has to do with the desire to show off the cell phone and its cutesy little decorations and color schemes than anything else. Considering that a typical watch today contains more computing power than all the computers used to put humans on the moon, it’s hard to see any other reason for why one would forgo this handy little instrument.
As well, many a woman today has to be lamenting the loss of high style that is quickly being overwhelmed by the barbarian hordes carrying pitchforks and dressing slovenly wherever they go. A nice, stylish pair of women’s brown boots is as rare a site on many a lady’s feet as is the sight of a pair of penny loafers and a blue blazer and khaki pants might be on a young freshman or sophomore college student, who’s usually full of piercings and studs all over his body nowadays.
It would seem that the modern age has helped to drive much of this and that certain generations of people may be reacting to all of the technology that hits them from all sides in a way that almost requires them to dismiss timeless and classic style. This goes even for something as simple as a wristwatch, which is in a veritable Texas cage match with a cell phone for the right to tell a person what time of day it is.
In the ‘good old days, ‘ a watch was meant for one thing and a telephone for another and never did the twain meet. Does anybody even remember being able to pick up a phone and call for the time from a real live human being? The answer to that question probably is ‘no, ‘ and it will for sure be a historical curiosity when a watch is found on the wrist of a person traveling between Earth and Mars, sadly.
My First Pregnancy Experience; Maybe It Can Help You
While being pregnant for the very first time I really did not have any idea of what the months ahead would bring me. I found out rather quickly. During the first trimester nothing changed. I woke some mornings with a little morning sickness and that was about it. During the second trimester I started to fill out in my belly area and could not get in to any of the clothes I had. I decided it was time to go shopping at a store that sold maternity wear.
I dreaded going shopping for maternity clothes because I thought they would have nothing in style and I would just look fat and ugly. When I got to the store I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had maternity clothes that looked just like any other clothes you would buy if you were not pregnant.
I could not believe that I could still stay in style while I was pregnant. I was only in my second trimester so I didn’t by too much right then, just a couple of out fits. To hold me over until I got so big I would need a lot more clothes.
In the beginning of the third trimester we had been to the maternity store twice already and I was on my way back. I bought a lot of outfits and even some for me to wear once I had my baby. I knew I would need time before I could wear my old clothes again.
Around the time I got 8 months along I figured it was time to get all of my shopping done and have the baby room complete to bring my gorgeous bundle of joy home in. We learned that the sex of the baby I was carrying was a girl. So we had to buy girlie clothes, socks, bibs, hair bows, all types of things. So we went shopping for all the adorable little girl clothes we could find. We found a lot and we bought a lot.
The one thing I saw and feel in love with immediately was the ladybug baby bedding. I just had to have it. So we get home with all of our new things and start putting them away. The nursery was looking beautiful especially after I added the new ladybug stuff to it.
A month later I went in labor and my gorgeous daughter was born. A few days later when we were trying to get ready to head home with our baby I was dressing her in one of the cutest outfits I had bought for her and it was just too big. I actually had to put her in the sleepwear we brought with us since nothing else would fit her. She wore nothing but sleepers for the first four weeks she was home. She was just such a small baby that nothing else would fit her. The point is you may think you are prepared but when your baby arrives you will never be prepared again.

There are a few essential fashion items that every girl should have in her wardrobe and bathroom cupboards. These items can last a long time and be used time and again to create new looks and accompany the latest trends. The classic and essential wardrobe items are worth spending money on and buying the best quality that you can and then they will last you forever.
By purchasing key fashion pieces for your wardrobe that will last for a long time and then buying a few seasonal trend pieces each year you can save yourself money on your appearance while still looking fabulous at all times. Quality bottoms such as skirts and trousers as well as good quality shoes are always worth buying.
A tailored and well cut pair of black trousers are an essential wardrobe item for every woman. These will accompany you on a million and one evenings out and are also useful for office wear. This is probably the most useful closet item of any of them. Depending on the climate that you live in a high quality wool coat for winter will also serve you well.

There are some accessories that can be used time and again to liven up your outfit. Some accessories can easily be bought cheaply to keep your look a la mode, but classic pieces include pearls, a leather watch, a gold or silver arm bangle and a cocktail ring.
When it comes to make up there are a couple of must have items for the cosmetic purse. The first is BB cream, which is a relatively new product that acts as a skin treatment and foundation in one. It is also important to have a good mascara, an eyeliner in an appropriate shade for your coloring and a natural lip gloss. Other items can also be very helpful, but these are the minimum requirements.
By investing in a few key wardrobe items as well as some inexpensive ones throughout the current season you can have an up to date look that does not have to burn a hole in your pocket.
Fashion To Look At For This Summer
It’s coming to the end of winter, shoppers are thinking about potential new fashion trends this spring, while designers are pondering over what new cloths they can think up for summer time. Summer fashion is not all about flip flops and board shorts; it is a time to make a fashion statement.
A trend that normally happens is many designers either disagree or don’t comment on what they think is going to be big until an authority comes out and states what it will be. The designer world is very ego based and once an authority has spoken may other designers try and pretend they have been saying it all along. But this year so far has been different.
Many designers seem to be unified in their predictions this year, predicting THRILLS will be this year’s fashion tip, personally I’m frilled this is coming back! The hottest designers are putting forward thrills to be this summer’s big hit, and I will be amazed if the experts don’t back it too!
As with all great styles across fashion, we have seen thrills come and go. However it is now going to be back to present itself to whole new buying demographic. Flashing back to school days, think the Victorians without the overly big clothes and you’ll have an idea of what’s to come. Thrills are going to be everywhere and seen not only on primary clothing but also other aspects, for example on socks, hats and gloves. More unconventional fashion designers are likely to put thrills on leotards and maybe shorts, while the more pessimistic designers may put thrills on umbrellas (In preparation for the summer showers, I know I’ll be buying one). Either way, expect thrills and spills a plenty this summer.
