A Review Of Donna Karan’s Cashmere Mist Fragrances
“A fragrance to seduce the senses”, that is how Donna Karan describes her Cashmere Mist fragrance collection. She simply loves cashmere. Cashmere, in fact, has become her passion. The softness of this wonderful fabric brings forth unforgettable memories of intimacy just like Cashmere Mist. You need to be really close to savor the combined essences of flowers and woods.
The notes are predominantly floral with nuances of woodsy elements. Once you wear it, you’ll be covered in a blanket of soothing powdery-musk scent – that’s Moroccan jasmine and lily of the valley dancing in the warmth of sandalwood, amber and musk.
This beloved classic from Donna Karan has been a perennial favorite in the mid-90s. Women love its embracing luxurious aroma and the way it exudes femininity in the long run. The floral notes are tamed – there’s hardly any headiness to greet you at the top notes.

The latest fragrance in the collection is Cashmere Mist Luxe, a limited edition perfume. This eau de parfum flanker is due for release on September 2009. The modern interpretation of the original contains watery elements, bergamot, exotic flowers, amber and vanilla. Could this be a paler version of the earlier Cashmere?
